Mini Vacay!

This weekend we embarked on a short but very much-needed mini vacation. You may recall our trip to Murphys a couple of years ago to attend the wedding of a friend. We had such a good time on that trip and were somewhat dazzled with what a cool place Murphys is that we decided to make another trip, this time, exposing our friends/neighbors to the fun times. We rented a very cool vacation home with a beautiful wrap around deck. The surrounding forests are the most peaceful location.

Murphys and the surrounding towns are cute and quaint historic Gold Rush towns loaded with charm, fun things to do and AMAZING FOOD. I hate to admit that I think the food may have been our favorite part. That, and the wine.

We were grateful to travel with a laid back couple like Ryan and Julie. They were great to just roll with whatever we came up with, whether it was walking around the town, touring a cavern or indulging in some wine tasting. Oh, and did I mention the FOOD?! ;)

We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to go back. There’s just something about that area that calls to us.
