Movie Date Night: Cowboys and Aliens

Last night Mr. C and I treated ourselves to a much needed date night and headed out to see Cowboys and Aliens. The last movie we had seen was Bridesmaids and I can't even recall our last date night, so it was long overdue.

We had a great time and were pleasantly surprised by the movie. Despite critics and friends letting us know that it was nothing short of terrible, we actually kind of enjoyed it. If you just look at is as a Summer Blockbuster full of explosions, fights, scary scenes and a tad of humor and romance, it's enjoyable. You just have to get over the mixing of an old western and modern aliens (strangely, it actually kind of "works" in the movie). And the lead, Daniel Craig [aka the new James Bond] is a complete bad-@$$. Sorry, but it's true and Mr. C and I love a good tough-guy (i.e. Liam Neeson!). Frankly, the worst part was paying $12.25 for a medium soda and popcorn. Are you kidding me?!
